New Organizer

I've been on an organization kick this past few weeks (I categorized and alphabetized our DVD drawer, and alphabetized my book shelves recently.)  My brother cleaned out part of his room yesterday, and he pulled a white, plastic organizer out of his bedroom. I immediately stole it. It had some sharpie and pencil on it, but I cleaned it up with a Magic Eraser. Then I went at it with a black Sharpie, drawing swirly patterns on the front of the little drawers. So here are some pictures!
This is it! It took me about five minutes to clean the organizer, and it took me about ten minutes to draw all the swirly patterns.

I have little buckets on top of the organizer to hold all my brushes. The one on the left has all my face brushes, and the one on the right has all my eye brushes. I need to get something to put in the bottom of the buckets to keep all the brushes from falling over. Behind that I have a tiny brush compact thingy. And then the other two buckets just hold hair stuff.
The top drawer holds all my lips stuff. (The black wallet thing has lip glosses in it).
The next drawer holds *most* of my eye stuff. It has my eyeliner, primer, mascara, eyeliner sharpener, tweezers,  and my tiny eyeshadow pallets. The big ones are still in my top dresser drawer.
The third drawer has my face stuff. It holds concealer, foundation, blush, powder, bronzer, and oil blotting sheets. I put the items I use most often in the front of the drawer. The cheaper, ELF tinted moisturizer is in the back.
The bottom drawer is random hair stuff, face cleansing wipes, and deodorant. I also put some medicine in it after I took the picture.
So that's my recent makeup organization! It makes my dresser much cleaner.

Hair Highlights

I know I haven't been on here in a while, but I haven't had a lot going on.
But about a week ago I got my hair highlighted! Finally!
Well, my hair is naturally blonde, but it's been turning brown. I had my hair dyed red with Kool-Aid before that, so the lady who did it put a base color of light brown on the layers of my hair that she didn't bleach. Now my hair is part light brown and part bleach blonde. My hair used to be this light naturally, but it had been getting darker.
And the hair in the under sections look a little darker in the picture than they are.
Well I really like the new color. Getting it done took longer than I expected but it was fun!
Byee!!!

Letting off Steam

I am really frustrated, and I need to let off some steam.
I have this guy friend. We were texting (apparently 'texting' isn't a real word) all yesterday. We just talked about random stuff; movies, whatever we were doing, etc. Then his friend had his phone and was texting me. His friend kept asking me if I would ever go out with my friend. I said no and that I just didn't want to go out with anyone.
Well, apparently I wasn't clear enough. Last night at about nine, he texted me asking if I didn't want to go out with anyone or just him. I was frustrated at this point. He had called me multiple times, texted me all day, and I was annoyed at this point. I had explained how I felt, and I didn't want to go into a ton of detail with him exactly why I didn't want a boyfriend. I told him that I didn't want to be attached to anyone like that and I just wanted to be alone. That wasn't enough for him either. He again asked why. This annoyed me even more. I was tired of him asking me questions. I just don't want a boyfriend, and his endless questions aren't going to make me want him as a boyfriend either.
So, by the time I went to bed, I was crying and frustrated. He would not stop. I'm not even allowed to date, and I really just DON'T WANT A BOYFRIEND. Why is that so hard to believe?
Well, that's the end of my rant. I needed to blow off some of that steam.

Brushes Review

(The numbers just go from left to right. The far left one is number one. The far right one is number ten. And y'all can figure out the rest.)
This is a picture of all the brushes I got. I put all of them back into the plastic thing just for y'all. I know I didn't put them in the thing exactly right, but I did the best I could. The picture is not the best, sorry.
I managed to use all of them doing my makeup this morning. It was difficult. So I am gonna do a Review for each one of them.
(I just realized I put these brushes in a bad order. They aren't in the order I used them, so I am going to skip around with the numbers)
Brush 5 is the first brush I used. It is technically the Eye Liner Brush, but that's not what I like using it as. I used it as a Concealer brush (which they actually gave me. It is number 6). Brush 5 is bigger than brush 6, so I feel like it works better for concealer.
Brush 2 is the Foundation Brush. I actually already had one of these, and I love it. It feels so good on your face and works great. I've had mine for a long time now, and it still works great. (I am still using the old one. I am saving the new one for when the old one stops working.)
Brush 6, as said above is technically the Concealer brush. It is small, so it feels weird using it under my eyes to spread concealer. I am now using it as an Eye Liner Brush. I have really long eyeliner, and getting liquid eye liner on around my eyelashes is difficult. But it is so easy using this tiny brush. I love it!
Brush 1 is the Total Face Brush. I used it to put on pressed powder. The bristles feel so good on your face. It works really well. (I don't usually use pressed powder.)
Brush 10 is the Blush Brush. I don't ever use blush, even though my mom always tells me to. I didn't have any blush. My mom got me makeup for my birthday, and she got me blush. So I used it today. The brush is angled, and made of the same bristles as Brush 1.
Brush 7 is the Eye Shadow Brush. It is rounded at the top, and the bristles are very, very soft. It worked awesome.
Brush 8 is the Smudge Eye Sponge. I used it to smudge my eyeliner into the dark eye shadow right next to the eyeliner. It worked well, but I don't think I'm going to use it everyday. I don't smudge stuff that much.
Brush 3 is a Brown Comb and Brush. I used it to fix my eyebrows. I'll probably won't use it everyday, because I don't do that to my eyebrows all the time, but it works really well.
Brush 4 is one of my favorites. It is an Eyelash and Brown Wand. I have wanted one of these for a long time. I don't like using mascara everyday because I don't like how it makes my lashes feel. With this wand, I can separate my eyelashes without having a bunch of mascara goop on my lashes. I love it.
Brush 9 is a Lip Defining Brush. I definitely won't use this everyday because I usually only wear chap stick, but it works very well.
So, overall, I am very pleased with the kit. I only paid ten dollars for it! It is a steal.

My Organized Makeup

Here are the pictures! I am so proud of myself!

(Ignore the back stuff. It's just extra junk.)
This is all my makeup. I somehow got everything to fit. This is just a pictures of everything together.

These are all my brushes.  The pale, tan-ish thing is the pack of five brushes. The rest of the brushes are all Elf brushes. I LOVE them! Elf is great!

This is all of my face and eye stuff (other than the eyeshadow. I just barely squeezed everything in here. The drawer is luckily deep enough that the two liquid eyeliners can sit straight up. I had to lay my foundation down to make it fit.
This is all of my lip stuff. Most of it is Elf, but I have two 'real people' lipsticks. They are both pretty pinks. I have the Hypershine glosses in about every color.

These are my eyeshadow pallets. I love them so much! The 144 piece eyeshadow pallet is my baby. It has so many different colors. Some are sparkly and some are matte. The white pallet on top of the black pallet and the 144 pallet is my brand new pallet. I just got it today, along with the brushes. It has 32. It is the cool version of the pallet. There is a warm version too.

I haven't blogged in a while, but I've been really busy. Today I went to the store and got some more makeup! That meant reorganizing all of my makeup to make room. I have one drawer for my makeup, and I leave all my pallets on top of my dresser. I have small, white, plastic divider thingies in the drawer to separate everything. I decided to count exactly how much makeup I had. I was very shocked at the final number. So here is the breakdown: (This will be a long post. Sorry. You can just scroll to the bottom if you want for the final total)
Brushes: 18 (I bought a pack of Elf brushes today)
-1 Elf Defining Eye Brush
-2 Elf Total Face Brushes
-2 Elf Foundation Brushes
-1 Elf Brow Comb & Brush
-1 Elf Eyelash/ Brow Wand
-1 Elf Eyeliner Brush
-1 Elf Concealer Brush
-1 Elf Eyeshadow Brush
-1 Elf Smudge Eye Sponge
-1 Elf Lip Defining Brush
-5 Earth (forgot the real brand) brushes (in a set. There are 5 different ones)
Lips: 11
-6 Elf Hypershine Glosses (different colors)
-1 Elf Luscious Liquid Lipstick
-1 Rimmel London Lipstick
-1 NYC Lipstick
-1 Elf All Over Colorstick
Face: 8
-2 Elf Tinted Moisturizers
-2 Elf Concealers
-1 Covergirl Foundation
-1 Elf Pressed Powder
Eyes:
   Liner: 8
   -1 Elf Liner/ Shadow Stick
   -1 Elf Liner Pen
   -1 Palladio Pencil Eyeliner
   -3 Elf Pencil Eyeliner
   -1 Palladio Liquid Eyeliner
   -1 Elf Liquid (gold) Eyeliner
   Eyeshadow: 5 Pallets/ 196 colors
-1 Elf 144 piece Eyeshadow Pallet
-1 Elf 32 piece Eyeshadow Pallet
-1 Elf 12 piece Eyeshadow Pallet
-2 Elf 4 piece Eyeshadow Pallet
   Other: 5
   -1 Elf Tweezers
   -1 Elf Eyelid Primer
   -1 Elf Clear Mascara
   -1 Elf Eyeliner Sharpener
   -1 Elf Eyelash Curler
That gives us a grand total of 58 if you count a pallet as one piece, or 246 if you count each individual eyeshadow. I was very shocked. This is such a long post, sorry. I'll put pics of my newly organized makeup drawer in another post. Pics would make this too long.
Later guys!

Spring Break

It's finally Spring Break! A week off of school! I have been sleeping a lot more than usual (I get up at six almost every morning, either due to school or habit). I'm up in Tennessee for the week at my grandparents house. A few minutes after we (my brother, my mom and me) got here, my grandparents had be playing clarinet and then on the keyboard we brought with us (I still can't believe we brought it with us).
Then after my aunt and cousins arrived, I had to perform the dances for Hard Knock Life, the HKL reprise, and Never Fully Dress without a Smile (my school is putting on Annie Jr. and I'm an orphan). It took us forever to find the right music on Youtube. I had to use a Swiffer Sweeper as a broom. That didn't work well.
My grandma had a surprise for me. Their preacher's wife (and the preacher) are very musically talented. She is going to come over this week to work on whatever kinda music stuff I want to work on, which will probably just be piano stuff. Hopefully I will be able to play with both hands at the same time. I can kinda play with both hands, but the left hand has to be really simple. ;p

Shower Accident

Turns out, your life really does flash before your eyes when you fall in the shower.
So, I had just gotten in the shower and my foot slid foreward. My arm scraped against the side of the shower, and my but hit the shower hard. It hurt so bad. I just sat there for a minute, stunned, then I started laughing. My mom ran to the door and asked if I was okay. I said that I was. But it still hurts to bed foreward. I have to squat to pick anything up because I can't bend over.
I need to get some adhesive ducks holdidng umbrellas for my shower. (For those of you who get that reference, you rule! Everyone else, look it up.)

Republican Phone Call

(Before I start, no, I can't vote, but my mom doesn't really have an opinion, so I'm trying to push my opinion on her.)
So the Republican Primary in Alabama is tomorrow, and so we've been getting a lot of phone calls from candidates. My mom has been hanging up on them, but I actually take them. This morning, I got a call from a group promoting Rick Santorum. A recorded voice asked me a bunch of questions such as:
-Do you have a favorable opinion of Barak Obama?
-Do you plan on voting for Rickc Santorum?
~Mitt Romney? (which I said yes to)
~Where do you stand on abortion.
Then the person told me all these things about how Mitt Romney changed his position on issues. The person's voice was recorded, but it's responce was based on how I answered the question.
While I was typing this, I got another call (again for Rick Santorum. I want a Romney call!). This one didn't ask questions. It was just promoting Rick Santorum. This one was a woman with a very southern accent.
I want to get a Romney call.

Thirty-One Bag

My Thirty-One bag finally arrived! My mom had a Thirty-One party a few weeks ago and I ordered the Retro Metro bag in dark demin. It is monogramed in hot pink. It is so cute! I am going to use it as a school bag to hold all my binders.
It is really big. It has two outer pockets which are good sized. Inisde there is a large zipper pocket.
The pink thing inside is one of my binders. I couldn't resist putting my things in right away.
The thing I love most about this bag is how it isn't stiff. It is almost a little stretchy because it's made of denim. I really love that and I think it will work great for school.
What do you guys think of my new bag?

Weird Ankle

I've recently come to the conclusion that my ankle is messed up. For the past week, I've noticed that whenever I run, my ankle pops. It doesn't feel like bones rubbing together. It feels like I fell and twisted it, but I don't fall. It just happens while I run. It hurts bad for about five minutes and then it's fine. It won't hurt at all.
I think I need to go to a doctor about this. I'm pretty sure that somethinng is wrong with my ankle. I'm scared to run now because I don't want to hurt it anymore.
Between first and second period, I was running/skipping to my math class, and my ankle popped/twisted again. It really hurt. I had to limp into my math class annd sit annd rub it for a feww minutes. Then it was fine. During P.E. I purposfully kicked ann out because I didn't want to run and risk getting hurt againn.

Eyes- Selfie Portraits

I'm linking up again today. Today the theme is eyes. So I got up and started doing my makeup.
Totally natural eye. No makeup!

After I got my makeup on. I took this in the bathroom because it has the best light.

Kinds blurry.

Things I learned:
~The bathroom has the best light.
~My hair curls very quickly if I don't blow dry it and straighten it straight out of the shower (I took a shower this morning before I did this).
Also, I have Solo & Ensamble today. My partner is a little sick, but we're going to try today. Wish us luck!

Anonymous

For my birthday, my parents rented Anonymous and ordered pizza. I had been dying to see this movie. Ten minutes in, my mom and brother left. Then it was juse me and my dad watching it. It started out okay. I liked it. I understood it.
But then they added inn about seven different story lines and nine zillioin flashbacks and backstories. I got very confused very quickly. I liked the movie, but I barely understood i.t. I got the just of it; Shakespear didn't write anything, the Earl did. The queen didn't have a heir, so two different sides fought to put someone they wanted on the throne.
That's about where my understanding ends. There are too manny characters and to much stuff going on that is technically necessary to the plot, but it just confuses me. Maybe if the movie had gone in chronilogical order, it would havve made more sence, but they had to start at the end of the story line, got back in time, flash even nfarther back, more foreward some, then go back again. Too much back oand forth.
Long story short, don't watch this movie unless you are prepared to devote to it your entire, undivided attention. Or you will get confused.

My Birthday

For my birthday, my parents woke me up early and had me open all my presents in my bed. I was about to fall asleep. I was tired. Anyway, I got a lot of clothes and shoes. Then one of the bags started ringing while I was opening it. It was a phone! I was so happy. It's a blue Verizon phone. With unlimited texting! My friends have been pestering me about when I'm going to get a phone, and now I have one. I love it!

No Makeup Wednesday Announcement

During lunch today, me and my friends (Morgan, Makayla, and Ashton) had a great idea. Every Wednesday, we are not going to wear any makeup and we aren't allowed to straighten or curl our hair. Everything has to be natural. This all sounded great at the time. Then Morgan pointed out that I won't be allowed wear eyeliner. That will be so hard. I'm going to have to give my mom all my eyeliner on Tuesday and tell her not to give it back to me no matter how much I cry, scream or beg.
Other than the eyeliner problem, this seems like an awesome idea.
And tonight, we are supposed to wash our hair and put it in two french braids. We are all going to have our hair curly/ crimped.
I am looking forward to Wednesday!

Freaking Out

I'm freaking out. So in science the other day, we were talking about dominant and recessive traits. We did a whole bunch of tests about which traits we had. Ex.:
~Attached earlobes- nope
~Curly hair- yes
~Widows peak or straight hairline- widow's peak
Then the teacher passed out strips of paper with PTC (I keep saying PCT) on it. She had us all put it on our tongues at the same time. Everyone started making noises and saying that it tasted horrible and that it tasted bitter. But I couldn't taste anything at all!
Apparently, I have the recessive gene that doesn't let me taste PTC. Everyone told me I'm lucky because it tastes so bad.
Well, I just got some nail polish that tastes horrible to keep you from biting your nails. I put it on this morning and left it on there for a while. It smelled horrible in the bottle, but I didn't want to taste it. Later in the day, I put my finger in my mouth, but I didn't taste anything! I left it on my tongue, and I still didn't taste anything!
When I got home, I had my mom taste it (she was reluctant at first, but I finally convinced her to do it.) She said it didn't taste like anything, but it burned her tongue. I checked the label, and sure enough, the first ingredient is Cayenne peppers. But why can't I taste it?! I think my tongue is messed up or something. This is getting weird!!!

Self Portrait Saturday

Today over in Wonderforest, Danna picked a theme. Which was winter. Well, here in the south, it's not really winter anymore. It's more like spring. We didn't even get any snow this winter, which was horrible! But anyway, I pulled on my boots and a longsleeve shirt and went outside. It was a little cold outside, but not that much.
Taking pictures this time was tough because I'm not using my camera. I'm using my dad's large Nikon one, which I am in love with already! I had to use self timer for all of them because I couldn't hold the camera far enough away from me. So after I figured out how to do that, I had to find somewhere to set the camera. We lost the part of the tripod that actually holds the camera, so I had to stack up a bunch of rocks to get the camera high enough to get my head in the pictures.
Well, these are the pictures I took this time. (I can't get the SD card to work on this computer so I'm going to publish this without the pics and edit it in a minute.)
My awesome boots and jeans! Our grass is kind of dead.
I had the camera up in a tree for this picture. It took forever to get the camera in place, and even then it was tilted so it wouldn't fall out.
This is my shadow in the dead grass.

This isn't really a self portrait. My brother came outside to move the wheelbarrow for a party my mom is having this morning. So I started taking pictures of him. He wasn't very happy about that. He was glaring at me when I took this. Isn't he cute?

Birthday

My birthday is on Friday (not tomorrow, the 2nd of March) and I can't wait. I will finally be a teenager! I am so excited. I didn't have a birthday party last year (it kept getting put off longer and longer, and eventually we just gave it up) so I am really excited for this year.
This year I was planning on having three friends go to a movie with me and then out to dinner. But that got changed because there were no good movies in theaters on my birthday(my B-Day's a Friday so we are doing it the day of). So then we changed it to the three of them coming over to hang out and watch movies and do whatever we want to. Well one of my friends had to cancel because she wasn't going to be at her mom's house that weekend. So now we're down to two friends and a movie at my house. It would be a sleepover but my mom isn't a big fan of sleepovers.
BTW!!!
Starkid has confirmed that they are doing a A Very Potter Threequel!!!!
Now for those of you who don't know what Starkid is, they are a drama troupe group (haha rhyme). THey have already done two Harry Potter parody musicals and they can be found on Youtube or on their website here. I also *just* found out they are doing a B@tman parody. It will be out in Spring of 2012. The Harry Potter one is supposed to be out sometime in 2012 too. I am so excited.

I just realized that there are no pictures on here, so I will put up some Team Starkid pictures.

<--He plays Harry. Darren Criss
He plays Ron (I love him!!) ---------------->

Strawberry Granola Parfait

I was at the new Publix by my house the other night and sampled a strawberry granola parfait. It was so good. I had to make my own. I finally got to it tonight. It tasted so good.
Ingredients:
~ Granola
~Fresh Strawberries
~Yogurt
~A cup

So once I got everything ready, I just grabbed the cup and put a blob of yogurt in the bottom, then added some granola, and then some strawberries. I kept adding more layers of the three. I ended up with three or four layers I think.

This is what it looked like. I had already started eating it. Oops. And the spoons in the way too. Not my best picture. If you haven't noticed, I did redo my nails. nail polish never stays the same on me for long. Now it's white with navy blue/grey polka dots. They're so cute!
You guys really need to try this parfait. It tastes soo good and it's really healthy too!

No Heat Curls

Last night after I washed my hair, I did the No Heat Curl with a Headband and it worked so well. My hair is naturally kind of curly and this morning my hair was so curly. I loved it. I think the new shampoo and conditioner really helped.

This is my hair last night. My mom took the picture. I was tired and ready for bed when the picture was taken.

And this is what my hair looked like this morning after I took the hairband out.  It was crazy curly. I can't get a good pictures of the curls
though. This is definitely how I'm going
to get my hair curly from now on. I
usually put my hair in tiny buns when
it's wet to get curls in the morning. I
think this works a little better because
most of the curls are the same size.

Herbal Essences Review

Today my family went shopping at the new Publix and we got me some new shampoo and conditioner. I chose Herbal Essences Totally Twisted shampoo and conditioner. I took a shower and used them for the first time. I was pleasantly surprised when I squirted some of the shampoo out that it was *purple*! (The conditioner was purple too!) That made my day, or night.
I have had the mouse from the set for a while. It always made my curl awesome!
The shampoo and conditioner made my hair so soft and silky! I was so happy. The stuff smells so good too! I really suggest that you get it! I love it already! I will defiantly be using it from now on when I want curls.
By the way, my hair isn't naturally curly or straight. It's in between, so I never wear my hair naturally. I always do something to it. Those self portraits are about as natural as my hair gets. When I curl it though, I don't use heat. I do always straighten my bangs though because they aren't long enough to look good curly.

Splatter Nails

This is my first tutorial! Yeah!!!
So I had nothing to do this afternoon and my nails were painfully uncolorful. I was searching the internet for a while to find something to do to my nails when I found a picture of splatter nails. It looked so cute and random that I had to do it.

What I'm using:
-Revlon- Powder Puff (base)
-Xtreme Wear- Gunmetal (splatter color)
-A Perfect "10"- Sweet Thang (splatter)
-A Perfect "10"- Oh Yeah (I think. I ripped the sticker with the color name off) (splatter)
-Tape
-A paper plate
-A straw

First I painted all my nails with the white base coat. (My camera is not being very nice today.)

Then I put tape above my cuticles and on both sides of my nails. You might want to do this before you paint the nails white. I put tape on one hand before and the other after. It doesn't really matter.

After that I poured a tiny glob of each splatter nail polish color onto the paper plate. Then you dip the end of the straw a color. I started with the darkest color and got lighter. It doesn't matter what color you choose.

Once you've got nail polish on the end of the straw, blow on the non polish end and it should spray polish onto your finger nail. Do this over the plate! Some will get on the tape, but that's what the tape is for. It keeps  your fingers clean.

After your fingers have had a second to dry and they are all dry, carefully peel off the tape and *tada* you've got splatter nails. Mine are a little messy, even though I used tape. I'm wasn't that careful.

Self Portrait Saturday

On one of the other blogs I read, the girl does a thing called Self Portrait Saturday, and it's a good idea. So I pulled myself out of bed this morning and got dressed. I need to wash my hair, but most of the pictures are okay.

My mom and brother were out in the living room arguing about something stupid and it was really funny. I had a dozen pictures of me laughing.

These are my awesome valentines day socks. You can't really tell from the picture but the light grey shapes are hearts. I have three pairs of cute Valentine's Day socks.

Me playing random chords on piano. Some of them actually sounded pretty good.

This is one of the ones of me laughing at my mom and my brother arguing. It's a little out of focus, but I like it.

This might be my fave picture. It was the last picture I took.

I learned a few things:
1.) I need to wash my hair before I do this next time. It didn't want to cooperate.
2.) Pictures look cool when they are a little out of focus.
3.) Random chords on piano sound cool.

Flower Hair Things

I made these flower hair things the other night. They are so cute! I need some more scraps to make more with though. I'll do a tutorial for them later.

That is the pink one. There is also a blue one.

Yeah, my bathroom counter is messy. I share a bathroom with my brother.
Aren't the hair flowers adorable! I love them and I love making them. I need to make more!

Not Talking

When I got on the bus this morning, I made the decision not to talk (I am always doing weird stuff like this). I haven't talked since then, except when my mom called to see if I was home after school, because she would have a heart attack if I didn't answer when she called. None of my friends noticed until lunch, but I hadn't had a class with them yet.
Halfway through lunch, Morgan stops talking and listens for a minute. Then she says, 'It's quiet in here.' Everyone else listens too. Then Morgan figures out what it is. 'Maddie's not talking.' Everyone else agrees. Then they start pestering me about why I'm not talking. Ashton guessed that it was a bet, a dare, I lost my voice, etc. I really don't know why I'm doing this, but it's fun. They played along though and read my lips when I had to tell them something.
My Geography teacher asked a question and everyone was shouting out answers, but they were all wrong. I knew the answer, and I had my hand clamped over my mouth. My teacher saw that I knew the answer, so he called on me. When I didn't answer, Ashton shouts out, 'She's not talking!' My teacher, who was a good sport, just laughed and called on someone else.
So, the day has gone pretty good. I'm going to keep going for a little while, or until everyone gets really annoyed.

Happy Valentine's Day

Happy Valentine's Day everybody! I hope you had a great day! I really felt the love from all my friends today. It was a great chance to let all of them know how much I love them and why I need them. I gave all my friends bags of Dove chocolate hearts and a Godiva chocolate balls and a personalized note for each of them. They all loved it. I got a lot of hugs today. It made me really grateful for my awesome friends (and family).

On another note, we got the results of our chair tests back. I got first chair! I was very surprised and very grateful. I play clarinet by the way. I only started playing this year. It is a lot of fun, but takes a lot of practice. I have a competition coming up in March (the day after my birthday). I'm doing a duet with one of my friends (who shares my birthday. Weird, I know). Our song is really cool, but we haven't practiced together yet. We will have our first practice together tomorrow. Fingers crossed it will go well.

Camera

This is my dream camera. On a blog I found, a girl is selling it for $350, which is a lot less than retail. Retail is about $500. It is slightly used but in great condition. This is what I really want for my birthday (hint hint to my parents and grandparents. Maybe you guys can get together and get it for me from all of you guys) This is the blog that she is selling it onLink. I really want this camera. Mine isn't the best.

Valentine's Day Cookies

I have a party to go to tonight and I am supposed to bring something. I usually bring brownies (my brownies ROCK!) but I wanted to make something different. I got frozen sugar cookies and red frosting from Target. I stuck the cookies in the oven for about fifteen minutes.

Then I put the star tip on the tube of red frosting and went to work on putting a heart on the cookies. The first batch turned out great. The tip was perfect. I had to wait about fifteen minutes between batches because the second batch was too warm. On the second batch, the tip was messed up or something. Instead of the icing looking like a star, it looked like crazy grass or something. It actually looked kind of cool.

I kind of like the grassy looking ones. They look crazy and random (like me ;p)
I also ran out of icing with three left. I let my little brother and his friend have the extras.
